Course Publishing Checklist on Onlinecoursehost.com

When you create a course on your website and are satisfied with the lessons you have created, the next step would be to publish the course.

Before making your course live, you need to ensure you've completed these essential requirements. Your course will remain in draft mode until all checklist items are fulfilled.

Mandatory fields for publishing a course

Course Publishing Checklist

Set course title

It is a fundamental requirement for every course to have a title in order to be published. The course title is set at the initial stage of creating your course, as indicated by the pre-selected checkbox in the image above. If you wish to modify your course title, you can do so by updating it under Courses  Edit  Landing Page.

Set course subtitle

Subtitles provide additional context to the main title, aiding better comprehension for readers. They serve to further clarify the subject matter of your courses, and can be modified under CoursesEditLanding page.

Add course authors

It is mandatory for each course to have an author. Therefore, you need to add at least one course author before you can publish your course. You can do this by navigating to Courses → Edit → Landing Page → and scrolling down to the Course Authors section.

You have the option to add an existing author you have previously created for another course, or create a new author specifically for your current course.

Add course features

The course features are the benefits that students can expect to gain when they enroll in your course, and they are prominently displayed on the course sales page.

To successfully publishing your course, it is necessary to upload a minimum of 4 course features. This can be done by navigating to CoursesEditLanding page → scrolling down to What is included in this course? and add a new course feature.

Set course long description

This comprehensive description outlines the content and structure of your course. It serves as a brief overview for prospective students evaluating the course before making a purchase, demanding an enticing approach.

You can input this text within the CoursesEditLanding page → scroll down to Long description.

Set course price

It is imperative that a course is associated with a price, provided that it is not hidden, private, or free. The price should be updated prior to publishing the course.

To update the course price, navigate to CoursesEditPrice and Coupons.

Set up payments with Stripe or PayPal

If you are going to be selling your courses directly on your platform, you have to integrate your website with either Stripe or PayPal, as those are the supported payment gateways.

Kindly refer to the steps in these links to activate Stripe and integrate PayPal into your website.

Upload and publish lessons

Every course should have a set of corresponding lessons. These lessons must be effectively updated and published individually before the entire course can be successfully published.

This process can be completed by navigating to CoursesEditLessons Upload your lessons → Click Save & Publish.

Complete these 8 steps to publish your course successfully

Once these checklists have been completed, you may proceed with publishing your course.
