How to Setup and Use Course Coupons

Discounts can be a powerful tool to attract new students and boost enrollment.

And, you can offer discounts on your OnlineCourseHost.com courses by using the COUPONS feature.

Coupons are a great way to:

• Attract new students
• Reward existing ones
• Increase enrolment

NOTE: Using a coupon to invite a large number of users is not ideal, you should invite users straight to a group via the Manage Students screen instead.

In this , we will go over these simple steps:

• Course Price
• Creating a coupon
• Making an offer
• setting a deadline
• sharing your coupon link

STEP 1: Course Price

1. To create your course price, log in to your account => and click Courses => Edit => Price, and Coupons.
2. Next, choose your preferred currency and enter your course price.
3. Then, proceed to click Save Changes.

If you want the course to be completely free, you can toggle the 'Free Course' button.

STEP 2: Creating a coupon

In the 'Course Coupons' tab, click the plus sign 'Add Coupon' at the bottom of the screen.

If you want to see only coupons that are still active, you can toggle the 'show only active coupons' button.

STEP 3: Making an offer

Once you have clicked on Create New Coupon, a pop-up window will appear. Here, you can input the following:

• The title of the coupon code.
• The price of the coupon: You can make this a free coupon by toggling the Free coupon slider. Leaving it unticked means this coupon will be purchased.
• The discounted price: This is the price that will be displayed on the course sales page.
• The number of coupons you want to create. 

Note that all letters in the coupon title field must be in CAPITAL and can only contain alphanumeric characters, dashes, or underscore as indicated below the coupon code field.

STEP 4: Setting a deadline

Now you want to set a deadline for your coupon. This is when your coupon code expires and can no longer be used for purchasing a course.

To do this, click on the field 'Coupon Deadline' and choose a deadline date on the pop-up calendar that appears.

Note that adding a deadline to your coupon is optional, as a coupon can be applied to a course forever.

Afterward, click on Create Coupon. 

Congratulations! Your coupon has been created and already applied to the course. 

The coupon will display on the course sales page for your students to use in purchasing your course. 

STEP 5: Sharing your coupon link

Now that you have created your coupon code, you can also get the coupon code link and share it directly with your students. 

They can manually input the coupon code you give them on the course landing page and click apply, then the discount takes effect.

They can also use the coupon link you share with them, and the coupon will automatically be applied to the course landing page when they open the coupon link. 

To get your coupon link, simply click on the course Edit button >> Price and coupons, scroll to the Course Coupons tab, and click on Get Link.

NOTE: Here, you can see all the details of your coupon: the Coupon code, the Link, the Price, the number of coupons remaining, and the coupon deadline.

You can also deactivate/activate your coupon anytime by toggling the 'Active' slider button. 

Please note that a created coupon cannot be edited or deleted. It can only be deactivated.
