How to manage student assessments in your course
The Assessment tab gives you full visibility into how your students are performing in your course. Here, you can track every assessment attempt, view completion dates, and analyze results in detail.
You’ll be able to see the number of questions answered correctly and incorrectly, monitor passed and failed attempts, and sort results to identify progress trends quickly.
This section is designed to help you better understand student performance, enabling you to provide the right support, enhance your course content, and celebrate learner success.
Manage Assessments
To get started, log in to your website, click Admin => click Manage Students in the side panel, search for the Student, and click their name.
Then, click Assessments on the menu tab, and you will get an overview of the student's performance in their assessments.
Here, you will see a list of the assessments the students have attempted, the number of attempts they have taken on it, the total number of questions in the assessment, the completion date and time, and the number of answers they got correctly.
You will also see the passing grade of each assessment, and the scores of the student with a passed or failed tag in front of their scores.
Assessment Attempts
Under the assessment tab, you can increase or decrease each student's attempt on any assessment if you have enabled retries on that assessment under Edit Course => Assessments.
More Information
- Updating the student's attempts under this screen will not override the maximum retries you have set up for the course. It will only update for the student.
- You cannot decrease a student's attempts below the maximum retries you have already set up for the course.
- You cannot decrease a student's attempts below the retries they have already made on the assessment.
- For students who have attempted the assessment multiple times, you can click the Previous Attempts drop-down to view their attempts.
- For students who have run out of attempts or have not attempted the assessment more than once, you will get messages that apply to them on this screen as well.
Sorting Order and Filters
By default, assessments under this screen are arranged according to their Completion Date. However, you can also sort the order according to Passed and Failed Attempts.
Then, you can filter according to courses by clicking the Courses dropdown if you want to see only assessments under a particular course, and you can search for specific assessments using the Search bar.

- Only graded assessments will show on this tab.
