Badge and Achievement Settings for Members

The Onlinecoursehost.com Community service offers users the ability to assign badges based on members' performance and impact on the community. These Badges highlight the members' growth in the community.

Badge Types

The community feature offers six distinct badges to recognize and motivate members of the community.

Moderator: These users are administrators who can moderate posts, remove members, post in all rooms, and more. Assign this badge to trusted team members or reliable community members.
Founding Member: This badge gives special recognition to members who have been with the community from the start.
Rising Star: Reward members for their valuable content contributions by identifying them as Rising Stars.

Top Contributor: Upgrade a Rising Star to a Top Contributor to further recognize their contributions and encourage continued engagement.
Group Expert: Identify members who can answer almost any question within the community. Reserve this for your team members or the most knowledgeable community members.

How To Assign Badges

To assign a badge to a member, go to the Community tab => click Members => View Member => User Profile => scroll down to Badges, and assign the appropriate badge. Afterward, click the Save button.

Note: Only Admins, including website admins, can assign badges to members.

Achievements

These are automatically assigned to community members by the platform based on their participation.

First Post: This is awarded as soon as a member makes their first post.
7-Day Streak: When a member posts for 7 consecutive days.
Helpful: When their comments get at least 50 likes.

Connector: When a member has left at least 50 comments on posts.
Top 10: When a member is among the top 10 contributors in a community or has been made one by the admin.
Mentor: This is awarded to community members whom the admin has made moderators and/or group experts.

Levels

Each profile can unlock different levels according to the points they get by being active in the community. These levels are automatically unlocked, and the points to reach the next level are always displayed on the user's profile.

Level 1 - Newcomer: This is awarded to new community members, so you don't need points to get the badge.
Level 2 - Explorer: 500 points
Level 3 - Contributor: 1,200 points
Level 4 - Regular:2,200 points
Level 5 - Leader: 3,500 points
Level 6 - Champion: 5,200 points
Level 7 - Legend: 7,500 points

How points are earned

Writing a post - 25 points
Writing a comment - 8 points
Each like your posts receive - 3 points
Each badge you earn - 100 points
Filling in your bio - 20 points (this is earned once)

Note: Points, levels, and achievements are earned by each member's activity and are automatically calculated and awarded.
