Start Here - Community Overview

Nowadays your students don't want just an online course.

They want also to connect with each other during the learning experience!

They want to:

  • ask each other questions
  • share progress
  • share tips and tricks
  • connect professionally

And the OCH community feature allows them to do just that.

The community is a like a user forum where students can interact and exchange ideas.

OCH gives you the possibility to host together with your courses your own private community that can be either:

  • Free: everyone can access
  • Invite-only: only users that you specifically invite can access the community
  • Paid: only users that subscribe to a monthly or yearly membership can access the community

Multiple levels of access

You can take this one step further, and have separate parts of your community have different levels of access.

You can divide your community into multiple rooms, each with it’s own separate level of access:

  • Free: anyone that accesses the community can access this room. You can have a free room inside a paid or invite-only community.
  • Invite-only: only users that you explicitly invite can access this room. You can have an invite-only room inside any type of community: free paid or invite-only.
  • Paid: you can have a paid room inside a community of any type, just like an invite-only room.

This multiple level of access gives you the flexibility to implement all sorts of cool use scenarios!

For example, you can have a paid room for a 15-day paid challenge inside a free community.

And this is just one of the many cool things that you can do with your multi-level community on OCH!
