FAQs About Drip
What time will drip content be released to the students?
Using the enrollment drip schedule, if a lesson is set to release a day after the enrollment date, students will have access to content 24 hours after enrolling.
A student who enrolls at 5 pm their local time the previous evening will be able to access the Drip content the next evening at 5 pm their local time.
In the case where you create a course start date drip schedule, and each lesson in the course has a release date of one day after the course start date, the student has access to the lesson content 24 hours after they first use the Course Player for this course. For example, if they first access your course at 5 pm their local time, they will get access to the Drip content at 5 pm their local time the following day.
When it comes to calendar date drip schedules, the calendar feature is based around midnight of your local time. The content will always be available as of 12:01 a.m. of your local time on the date set for the drip schedule.
What happens when a student is re-enrolled in a course with a drip schedule?
This depends on the drip type that was selected. Turning on the drip for student enrollment date and course start date will only affect new students while turning on the drip on a specific date will affect both previously enrolled and newly enrolled students. We suggest putting the drip on a specific date sometime in the future.
What happens if I change the drip schedule while students are already taking my course?
Whenever you make changes to the Drip Schedule, they will immediately be applied to the course, and will therefore have an impact on any students who are currently enrolled in the course. In the event that your new schedule is more restrictive than the original one, this may cause them to lose access to past lessons, including those that have already been completed by them.
It's important to note that if you change the trigger type for your drip sequence from a specific date to the course enrolment date or course start date, it may result in students receiving duplicate emails or experiencing unexpected delays in receiving the email sequence. Therefore, it's crucial to exercise caution when making changes to the trigger type and only do so if absolutely necessary.
When will students receive an email for a dripped content?
Drip emails are automatically dispatched 24 hours after the course content has been dripped. For instance, if the course content is dripped at midnight, the drip email will be sent out the following day around 10 am.
