Types of courses on OnlineCourseHost.com

Now that you have purchased a plan, it is time to create your courses.

Four kinds of courses can be created on your platform in OnlineCourseHost.com, depending on your target audience, and what you are trying to achieve.

Free Course

This is usually used to build your email list. A free course can be a preview to your other premium courses: for example, an introductory course. Since your students have to sign in to take the courses, they can be easily converted to paying students.

Standard Premium Course

This is a publicly visible course that is for sale on your website, and that anyone can purchase. This means that unless you create a free coupon for the course, or manually enroll students for the course, no one would be able to take the course without paying for it.

You can also optionally mark some lessons free in the course, to give your students some freebies. Kindly refer to this link for more information on how to make a lesson free in your premium course.

Private Course

This is a course that has been for a predefined set of persons or an organization. When a course is made private, only people you invite to the course can access it. This course is still visible on your website, it’s just that you can control the enrollments.

Enrollments are done via the Manage Students screen, or via an activation link (essentially a free coupon, that you can limit and deactivate anytime).

Hidden Course

Very similar to private courses; the only difference is that hidden courses are not publicly viewed on your website. The only people who can view these courses are logged-in students who have been enrolled in the course by you.

Please note that for hidden and private courses, you do not have to set a price for the course. When you hide the course or make it private, you will be able to publish the course without setting a price.

Also, course coupon codes do not work for hidden courses because you can only redeem a coupon code on a product that is visible to everyone.
